I’ve performed in A Christmas Carol, and have attended countless performances as an audience member over the years. I’ve created Renaissance-style vocal arrangements for one production, and choreographed dances for another. And now, I’m directing my first version of the Dickens classic. Yes, A Christmas Carol is to the theatre what The Nutcracker is to the ballet. It’s tradition. It’s nostalgia. And its message is one that will continue to ring true throughout the ages. I suspect there will be many more Christmas Carols in my future. Yet, none will be quite like the one you’re about to experience. Our cast, led by TILT board and company member Nicole Cortichiato, has crafted a unique version of the tale that reflects and responds to our immediate times. Regardless of the holiday or holidays that one celebrates during this time of year, 2020 will afford us all a very different season. With that reality in mind, we set out to create A Christmas Carol that would offer laughs, joy, and hope to lift the spirits of all who join us. We hope that this, our gift to you, will ensure that your days are a little merrier and a little brighter during this special time in a very trying year. God bless us, every one!
